Step back in time while enjoying the fruits of the present at Revalation Vineyards. Richard W. Wise, notable author of historical narratives, is slated to appear at the esteemed Book World Meets Wine World event May 3 at 6 p.m.
Amid the lush vineyard, Wise will introduce attendees to his newest literary venture, “The Dawning: 31,000 BC,” a novel that reimagines the life and culture of Neanderthals. This work comes on the heels of riveting studies highlighted in prominent journals such as “Science and Nature,” reinforcing the notion that Neanderthals were not mere brutes but our close relatives with a sophisticated culture.
“The Dawning” paints a vivid picture of ancient life, featuring protagonists Ejil and Lada from a Cro-Magnon tribe. Their narrative is set against a backdrop of transformative encounters with Neanderthal hunters, exploring themes of love, survival, and the intertwining paths of different human species.
