On Tuesday, July 15, our son and brother, Gregory Jenkins, had a mishap in a parking lot at the local Food Lion. Gregory was transported to Culpeper Hospital by the Madison County Rescue Squad.
After an evaluation, he was transported by Pegasus to the University of Virginia Children’s Medical Center. He was diagnosed with a fractured skull, fractured temple and bleeding on the brain. A team of doctors and surgeons performed surgery on Gregory.
We are very grateful to the Madison County Rescue Squad, Culpeper Regional Hospital, the Pegasus crew, doctors and nurses at UVa and Dr. Jane Jr. for the care given to Gregory. We are touched by the community; thanks to each one of those who called, said prayers, and visited the hospital and our home.
Please continue to keep us in your thoughts and prayers while Gregory recovers from this tragic accident.
This is going to be a long recovery for Gregory. If any of his school friends wish to send him a letter please do so at 136 Gibbs Road, Madison, VA 22727.
In Christ’s name,
Greg, Donna, Jessica and Ashley Jenkins
Madison County
