As a Christian and a veteran of multiple combat operations, I was completely shocked by your extremely large article, above the fold, about Mary Grace’s trip to Iraq. To see an article about her in anything other than the police log is disturbing. For it to be in an issue on the eve of the Fourth of July is completely appalling!
She does not deserve to be celebrated. You could have used that space for something that matters.
Why couldn’t you have run a story about the men and women of Madison that are serving around the globe to preserve the freedoms we enjoy, instead of some radical protester traveling to Iraq under the guise of a Christian peacemaker?

Why do you refer to the “guise of a Christian peacemaker”? Isn’t that what Christians are called to be? What’s wrong with a “radical protester”?

What exactly is it about her trip that you find so disturbing?
