It has come to my attention that the Madison County Board of Supervisors has stated that the Madison County School System will be level funded for the 2008-2009 school year.  It has also come to my attention that the final budget will not be voted on until the end of June 2008.  Furthermore, with the start of the fiscal year being July 1, 2008, I believe the schools will not be able to handle this unprecedented reduction in total money and the unnecessarily late final budget from the board of supervisors and not have those factors negatively impact our children.

There is a public hearing set for May 5 at 7:30 p.m. in the county administration building. Please come to support the Madison County Public School System and our children!
