Don’t be taken in by spin from either political campaign. If you don’t have Internet service at home, the local library has free service available for you to use. Two sites that cut to the chase are FactCheck.org from the Annenberg Public Policy Center of the University of Pennsylvania and Politifact.com, produced by the St. Petersburg (Fla.) Times.
Both expose distortions and outright lies. While both are serious about the subject matter, the St. Petersburg Times one has a little fun with it — one of the categories is “Liar, liar, pants on fire” — complete with flames!
